Position Summary:

Provide nutritional care for patients. Develop and implement nutrition education programs for the medical center and community. Assist with in-service training and quality improvement programs.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates the ability to screen patients for identification of nutritional intervention.
• Exhibits knowledge to integrate clinical, anthropometrics, laboratory, social, psychological and nutrition data into assessment, identify modification of food/nutrient intake and route administration.
• Records pertinent patient nutritional care documentation in medical record and validates patient charges for nutritional care.
• Develops and implements nutrition care plan based on objective data from nutrition assessment.
• Evaluates and adjusts as necessary based on outcome of care and continuous monitoring of patient's needs.

Requirements:

• BS degree in Food, Nutrition, or Dietetics required.
• RD registered required. Oklahoma Medical Board licensure can be applied for and work performed under the Food Service Director during first several months of work.
• One-year experience as a dietitian in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Good written and oral communication skills required.
• Typing and basic computer skills required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications preferred.
