Hill International is seeking a Planner in Miami, Florida


  • Develop and distribute Pre-Programming Packages for all north and some central region projects.
  • Pre-programming packages have 4 main sections that break down to more subsections regarding the project that you would acquire.
    • Executive summary
    • Deficiencies/Facility list and Drawings
    • Schedule of projects
    • Reports
  • Create, configure, and manage Primavera P6 projects, ensuring each is set up with the correct and complete data.
  • Maintain administrative control over all Primavera environments, including user access management, training, and ongoing support.
  • Ensure that all Primavera fields are 100% accurately completed, including key date fields, and guide users on where to source accurate information.
  • Routinely audit and validate project data and proactively follow up with users to ensure timely updates.
  • Create and verify projects in WPNR, confirming all associated data is correct.
  • Cross-Platform Integration & Development:
    • Understanding application workflows
    • Integrating Primavera data
    • Cleaning and verifying datasets (e.g., enrollment, student stations, locations).
  • Develop a daily auto-updated report using the Max Access Program, eliminating the need for manual data entry.
  • Partner to support the dashboard project, ensuring system verification and data accuracy across platforms.
  • Create, manage, and resolve deficiencies in MAPPS. This includes:
    • Entering new deficiencies accurately based on site inspections, reports, or stakeholder input.
    • Updating or manipulating deficiency records as work progresses or priorities change.
    • Deleting resolved or invalid deficiencies when appropriate, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Balance and coordinate projects to align with school-specific needs and issues. This involves:
    • Creating new projects based on identified deficiencies or school-specific requests.
    • Prioritizing tasks according to urgency, available funding, and school schedules.
    • Ensuring all scope elements accurately reflect the actual conditions and needs of the school.
    • Maintaining communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment with expectations and minimize disruption.
  • Minimum 5 yrs. experience in field and bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or related field.
  • Evidence of knowledge in evaluating and planning space for educational adequacy.
  • Evidence of knowledge and experience in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Evidence of knowledge of the roles and functions of educators, planner, and architects in the educational programming, design, and construction process.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal, State and Local codes and regulations governing the planning, design, and construction of public-school facilities.
  • Conducts post occupancy evaluations for completed capital projects.
  • Provides technical assistance and support to design professional project managers, educational planners, advance planners, and educational specialists, resolving questions and concerns related to land use and construction requirements.
  • Develops and maintains prototype educational specifications and coordinates with design criteria, master specifications, facilitate lists, and master FF&E lists.
  • Meets with departments to determine specific needs of each educational space, which shall be reflected in the prototype educational specifications.
