The Role

The Product & Portfolio Communications is the strategic engine behind how we communicate, align, and execute across the product organization. Equal parts storyteller, operator, and process optimizer, this role ensures that our strategy is not only well-articulated, but also well-executed.

You'll serve as a trusted advisor to the VP of Product & Portfolio Operations, helping shape priorities, streamline communications, and drive operational rigor across key programs. From crafting compelling narratives to optimizing how we manage information flow and execution rhythms, you'll be the connective tissue that keeps our teams aligned, our stakeholders informed, and our initiatives on track.

This is a remote opportunity open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S.

The Main Responsibilities
  • The narrator of our transformation journey and the architect of our operational communications playbook-ensuring our teams, leaders, and partners know what's happening, why it matters, and how we're delivering. Your time will be roughly split across:
  • 40% Chief of Staff Duties - Acting as a strategic right hand to the VP, advising on priorities, shaping messaging, and ensuring the right information reaches the right people at the right time.
  • 20% Communication Design - Creating product release communications, QBR/MBR templates, and executive-ready materials that simplify complexity and inspire action.
  • 20% Stakeholder & Program Management - Driving cross-functional alignment, managing key communications and governance rhythms, and ensuring deliverables land with precision and consistency.
  • 20% Process Optimization - Identifying and improving communication workflows, documentation practices, and reporting mechanisms to scale operational excellence.
  • Create executive-ready decks and "wow" slides for Quarterly & Monthly Business Reviews.
  • Ensure every communication-internal or external-is consistent, intentional, and aligned with our brand and strategy.
  • Translate strategic vision and operational changes into compelling stories that resonate across audiences.
  • Own and optimize documentation repositories, communications cadences, and reporting frameworks.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to ensure messaging reflects our priorities and progress.
  • Identify bottlenecks in communication and program workflows and implement scalable solutions.
  • Prepare and coordinate executive level presentations, reports, and communications with a keen eye for details
  • Manage and assume ownership for the VP's operating rhythm including meeting cadences, leadership meetings, and follow-ups
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Communications, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in communications, product operations, program management, or strategic initiatives, preferably in a technology environment.
  • Familiarity of PLM, NPI, and product development methodologies.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and driving operational excellence.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience optimizing processes and managing cross-functional programs in fast-paced environments.
  • Fluency in tools like PowerPoint, Canva, Confluence, SharePoint, and other collaboration platform
  • A mix of creativity and pragmatism, you know when to push boundaries and when to streamline.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

$129,639 - $172,852 in these states: AL AR AZ FL GA IA ID IN KS KY LA ME MO MS MT ND NE NM OH OK PA SC SD TN UT VT WI WV WY
$136,121 - $181,494 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI
$142,603 - $190,137 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
