- Will lead effort to coordinate inspection priorities across all business units supported
- Primary liaison working with customer leaders to establish priorities based on business need, scheduled deliverables
- Strong written and verbal communication required to maintain daily priorities; resolve priority conflicts and effectively coordinate with NDT leadership to ensure scheduled inspectors are supported
- Must be capable of maintaining data tracking for department schedule.
- Associated metrics to include team response time through completion
- Discrepancy metrics to customers driving overall product/process improvement
Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required. 8 years technically related experience. ASQ certificate (American Society for Quality) preferred.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for leading, planning and coordinating departmental projects. .
- Provide technical guidance, coordinate and lead subordinate level personnel to perform tests according to priorities, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Ensure assigned personnel have necessary resources to complete assigned task. .
- Assist the Supervisor with training, scheduling and prioritizing manpower, and approving timekeeping.
- Use and develop testing methods that support GAC Manufacturing, Service Center, NPD and Experimental programs.
- Clearly and tactfully communicate all tasks in area of responsibility in a timely and efficient manner.
- Contribute directly to the training and evaluation of employees within scope of responsibility.
- Maintain equipment and assures calibration for tests to be performed.
- Maintain inventory control of area tooling, consumables, etc.
- Perform and provide assistance/guidance for duties in support of Customer aircraft.
- Assist the Supervisor in promoting/tracking departmental continuous improvement objectives.
- Successfully interface with internal/external customers responding to needs and providing results.
- Ensure area safety and encourage technicians to continuously develop safety improvements.
- Support revision and development of area Standard Operating procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements:
- Five (5) years NDT Level II experience on Gulfstream aircraft supporting airworthiness decisions for NDT Group Lead.
- Five (5) years of Lab testing experience for the Lab Group Lead.
- Five (5) years of Calibration experience for the Cal Group Lead.
- MAUS-V, Omni-scan, hardness testing experience preferred.
- Proficient in blueprint reading/interpretation, GAMPS, Mil-Specs, ASTM standards, Maintenance Manuals, shop mathematics, and QA system requirements.
