SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking an Epic Application Analyst Lead to join our IS&T Inpatient team. This full-time role will work days. Open to remote work.

Purpose of this position: We are currently seeking an Epic Application Lead to join our team. Under limited supervision, support the IS&T team in maintaining Epic system and associated applications with integration/interfaces with Epic.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research to develop, configure, and modify moderate to high complexity "break fix" solutions in Epic
  • Review, build, test, debug, and document progress of Epic issues in partnership with the TS utilizing the SLG process and release notes
  • Participate in testing phases of associated applications during implementations and upgrades
  • Manage and grow strong relationships with end user communities, customers, and business partners
  • Provide Epic content expertise to support service/desktop team members and applications with integration/interfaced systems
  • Identify opportunity for process/system improvements by adopting new Epic functionality, update team roadmaps to reflect these opportunities and partner with Informatics on planning and implementing these improvements
  • Facilitate meetings
  • Analyze risk and develop mitigation plan for Epic safety/financial escalations, monitor team SLGs/Nova notes to assure regular updates are recorded and follow-up is documented
  • Participate in hardware and software planning
  • Mentor and train team members, assist with onboarding and ensure cross training
  • Support leadership by monitoring and assigning out tasks when there is capacity to absorb work or perform investigation of requests and make recommendations prior to assigning
  • Provide regular and/or off hour on call support as scheduled
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years relevant of comprehensive professional experience working in the electronic health record, Epic
  • Associates of Arts (AA) or Bachelor's degree

  • An approved equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in leading teams
  • Ability to collaborate and bring teams together
  • Experience developing technical/systems design specifications and building system solutions
  • Experience executing risk mitigation plans
  • Demonstrated ability to spearhead resolution of team related issues
  • Capability to manage multiple competing objectives and clearly communicate results and/or barriers

License/Certifications:

  • 1 Current Epic Certification (EpicCare Orders Certification is preferred) OR 1 Current Epic Accreditation OR 1 Current Epic Proficiency Self-study OR 1 Current Epic Proficiency
