The Vice President of Products & Services will be responsible for driving the strategic growth and profitability of GES' offering. We are seeking an experienced executive with a strong background in product management, sales and marketing. This is a critical leadership role that will bridge the gap between customer needs, product development, sales and marketing strategies. This role will lead the product management team, inside sales, and show site team consisting of sales, service and operations. The unique experience of this role in sales and marketing will be essential in shaping the product strategy, ensuring that our products not only solve problems but are also positioned and messaged effectively to the market. The ideal candidate will be a data- and results-driven leader with proven success in growing the company's revenue and profitability. Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of high-performing product management, sales, and service team members. Foster a culture of innovation, data-driven decision-making, and customer obsession.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Lead show site sales team to drive revenue growth through proactive outreach, lead generation, and relationship building with prospective and existing clients. Identify new business opportunities, present product solutions, negotiate contracts, and achieve individual and team sales targets. Manage customer accounts, provide exceptional service, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Partner closely with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies. Ensure that product positioning, messaging, and sales enablement materials are compelling and effective.
- Customer & Market Insight: Be the voice of the customer within the company. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user interviews to inform product decisions. Your sales background will be key in leveraging direct customer feedback and market trends.
- Product Strategy: Develop and execute a compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals. Use your sales and marketing expertise to identify market opportunities, customer pain points, and competitive advantages.
- Roadmap Management: Own the product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on customer value, market opportunity, and business impact. Communicate the roadmap effectively to all stakeholders, including the executive team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure timely and high-quality product and service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in product management and sales with at least 5 years in a leadership role (Director or VP level).
- Background: A strong background or significant experience in sales, marketing, or a customer-facing role is a must. You should have a deep understanding of sales cycles, marketing funnels, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team. Experience building and scaling a product management organization.
- Strategic Thinking: Exceptional strategic and analytical skills. You can translate complex market dynamics and customer needs into a clear, actionable product plan.
- Communication: Outstanding communication and presentation skills. You can articulate complex ideas simply and persuasively to a variety of audiences.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business or related field. Master's degree preferred.
