The
SAP Operations Planner/Liaisonwill coordinate SAP requirements, concepts, and operations with combatant command stakeholders, specifically INDOPACOM and EUCOM. The successful candidate will have a strong background in coordinating SAP or SAP-like activities with COCOM personnel and will demonstrate an understanding of Department of Defense coordination and strategic planning. This is a full-time position based in the National Capital Region.
Other Duties Include;
- Coordinate SAP requirements, concepts, and operations with INDOPACOM and EUCOM stakeholders to ensure effective planning and execution of SAP activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with INDOPACOM and EUCOM personnel to facilitate communication and collaboration on SAP-related matters.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on SAP operations, concepts, and requirements to INDOPACOM and EUCOM stakeholders.
- Demonstrate an understanding of DoD, ideally Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Joint Staff, coordination and strategic planning processes.
- Work closely with technical operations and technical development teams to ensure SAP activities are properly integrated and supported.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of INDOPACOM and EUCOM SAP needs and priorities, and provide recommendations for improving SAP operations and planning.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and industry partners, to advance SAP goals and objectives.
- Travel to the NCR on a quarterly basis to attend meetings, coordinate with stakeholders, and participate in planning activities.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience coordinating SAP or SAP-like activities (e.g. Special Operations Forces (SOF), Cyber, Space, and/or intelligence operations) with COCOM personnel.
- Demonstrated understanding of DoD, ideally OSD and Joint Staff, coordination and strategic planning processes.
- Experience working with DoD SAPs on a routine basis over several years.
- Background in interacting with technical operations and/or technical development activities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Desired Requirements:
- Experience working in a joint military environment, preferably with INDOPACOM and EUCOM.
- Knowledge of SAP policy, procedures, and regulations.
- Familiarity with DoD planning and budgeting processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop creative solutions.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Clearance requirement:
- Must have a current TS/SCI clearance and be eligible for special program access
