Senior Systems Engineer - GEOINT Services

We're seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and drive complex systems engineering efforts across the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and partner Federal Agencies. In this high-impact role, you'll shape the architecture and integration of mission-critical GEOINT systems that directly support U.S. and allied operations.

As a technical leader, you will:

Mentor and guide mid- and junior-level systems engineers across the full engineering lifecycle, including:

• Requirements development

• Solution architecture and systems integration

• Scheduling and service development

• Testing, evaluation, and maintainability

• Reliability and resiliency engineering

• Lead planning and analysis of user requirements and system architectures

• Improve system performance through the review of cloud service capabilities, workflows, and scheduling constraints

• Oversee the development of solution designs based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies

• Translate mission and customer needs into actionable system and capability requirements

• Support the allocation of requirements to architecture components and program execution

• Guide systems integration across multiple platforms, programs, and agencies

• Conduct technical assessments including:

  • Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs)

  • Courses of Action (CoAs)

  • Trade Studies

  • Engineering Assessments

• Assist in strategic planning and oversight of:

  • Project management

  • Performance engineering

  • Risk management

  • Interface design

• Operate at the enterprise level-integrating multiple systems, services, and processes within Major Systems Acquisitions, spanning organizational and agency boundaries

• Influence the future of GEOINT enterprise systems

• Work on mission-critical projects that directly support national security

• Collaborate with top-tier engineering teams and government leaders

• Lead transformative efforts in a fast-paced, high-impact environment

• Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following fields:

  • Systems Engineering, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, nformation Technology, Management Information Systems, Other related STEM disciplines

  • OR 12 years of experience as a Systems Engineer in lieu of a degree

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in government or industry in one or more of the following areas:

  • DoD/Intelligence Community (IC) Acquisition Processes

  • Requirements development processes

  • PPBES (Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System)

  • Systems engineering of large, complex System of Systems (SoS) or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)/Cloud environments

• Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle

• Active TS/SCI clearance

  • OR the ability to obtain SCI eligibility and pass a polygraph

• Master's degree in:

  • Systems Engineering

  • OR a related technical or scientific field (as listed above)

• INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)

• Working knowledge of:

  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, languages, and processes

  • Software Development Frameworks

• Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Photogrammetry

  • Remote sensing

  • Image science

  • Information sciences

  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

  • Geomatics

  • Other related geospatial fields

• Documented work experience in the Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) field

• In-depth knowledge of current:

  • NSG - National System for Geospatial-Intelligence

  • ASG - Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence

  • NRO - National Reconnaissance Office enterprise

• Membership or leadership in professional organizations such as:

  • ACSM - American Congress on Surveying and Mapping

  • ASCE - American Society of Civil Engineers

  • ASPRS - American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing

  • OGC - Open Geospatial Consortium

  • SAREM - Society for American Remote Earth Monitoring

  • USGIF - United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation
