What You'll Do

As an EIT II, you'll take on broader responsibility for technical tasks-supporting design, analysis, and coordination while helping keep deliverables on schedule, on budget, and aligned with client and code requirements. You'll mentor EIT I peers and build toward responsible charge under the guidance of senior engineers.



  • Learn and apply SSR technical standards and procedures while executing tasks on active projects.
  • Assist with design analyses using industry software; perform computerbased engineering calculations and system design functions.
  • Support production of designs in Revit and/or CADD; coordinate with designers and oversee assigned design development tasks.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to determine equipment needs and provide technical information for procedures and sequences.
  • Attend and participate in meetings with owners, clients, and architects as needed; communicate design requirements to contractors and vendors.
  • Help develop manhour budgets and perform tasks in accordance with the plan; document progress and risks.
  • Assist with technical documentation, proposals, and presentations that communicate scope, approach, and value.
  • Accompany senior staff on jobsite visits to investigate field conditions and monitor progress against design specs, owner expectations, and codes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, schematics, and engineering reports; maintain neat, accurate files.
  • Actively participate in internal/external training; may mentor EIT I on software, standards, and codes; may assist PMs with select facilitation duties.



Who We're Looking For

Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college with two years applicable experience
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and be certified EIT with a state licensure board


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; knowledge of disciplinespecific software (e.g., Trace700, SKM).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of engineering theories and methodologies; knowledge of drafting/design procedures and standards.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations; ability to read drawings and coordinate multidiscipline inputs.
  • Strong written communication and technical writing; clear speech clarity and interpersonal collaboration.
  • Detailoriented with sound judgment and decisionmaking; strong comprehension and followthrough on direction and feedback.
