The Content Development Leader will leverage exceptional and versatile communication skills across various channels to transform complex residential energy technology into compelling, accessible content. This position ensures customers and partners grasp both the technical depth and real-world impact of Tesla Energy products like Powerwall, Wall Connector, Solar Roof, Virtual Power Plant, and Solar Solutions. Situated at the intersection of product, engineering, growth marketing, and sales, the focus is on written communication that informs, inspires, and drives action. The ideal candidate excels as a writer, adept at navigating technical details, distilling insights from cross-functional teams, and crafting engaging content for diverse audiences and formats.
What You'll Do
- Write and develop product-focused content for consumer and business audiences, including white papers, sales enablement documents, customer communications, email campaigns, channel partner communications, website and landing page copy, social media content, and product announcements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams to gather detailed insights on Tesla Energy products
- Translate technical features and capabilities into clear value propositions and messaging for customers and partners
- Support the global demand generation team with campaign messaging, content strategy, and asset development for product launches and updates
- Develop product positioning narratives and guide how Tesla Energy products are presented to the market
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years of experience in content development, marketing communications, or technical writing, preferably in the energy sector
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a strong portfolio of clear, product-driven content
- Comfort with technical subject matter, demonstrating curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to ask questions to gain understanding
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, product marketing, and creative
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong understanding of digital channels and audience targeting, including web, email, and social media
- Passion for Tesla's mission and sustainable energy

Expected Compensation
$108,000 - $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
