Shift: 2nd Shift | Pay: $42 - $47 + 10% Shift Differential
Hours: 2:00PM - 10:30 PM
POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor will lead a team of production personnel in various departments and oversee production operations to ensure timely completion of production jobs that meet all quality and customer expectations. They ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently to meet company goals and customer satisfaction. This position will communicate with the other various department managers to ensure on time delivery, as well adherence to our company's policies. The Production Supervisor will report out production status to the Production Manager and the GM.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage production schedule to meet on-time delivery to customer and quality standards
- Coordinate with Managers, other supervisors for production and project timeframes
- Create accurate and detailed production travelers for processing work through various productions work centers
- Maintain safety compliance and promote safe working behaviors within the production management department
- Ensures all company policies and procedures are followed by production staff
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge
- Attend and participate in weekly meetings with Prototek leadership team
- Ensuring on-time, correct, and complete delivery of parts, product to the customer
- Schedule workflow through work centers for on-time delivery
- Manage bi-annual reviews for all team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Proficient knowledge of shop workflow and capabilities
- Proficient knowledge of machine shop scheduling
- Proficient knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 / & AS9100 and its applications
- Proficient knowledge problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies and tools
- Proficient knowledge of prototyping and manufacturing capabilities specific to Prototek
- Proficient knowledge of industry materials, applications, and technologies
- Proficient knowledge of reading designs, prints, and other technical drawings/files

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- High School Graduate or GED
- 5+ years of work experience in a production management role or similar capacity
- 3+ years of work experience in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment
- Strong employee, customer, vendor relations, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Demonstrated computer proficiency skills: Word, Excel and Microsoft Office
- Experience in Manufacturing ERP systems
- Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast paced, changing work environment
- Preferred
- Bachelor's degree or 8+ yrs of related work experience
- Advanced experience working in an ERP system entering and editing information
- Familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9100 requirements in a manufacturing environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to use hands and fingers to operate computers, equipment, hand/power tools, etc, and handle and feel parts of various size
- Ability to bend, kneel, and crouch occasionally throughout shift
- Ability to push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs moderately throughout workday,
- Fast-paced environment
- Noise conditions can be moderate to extreme. Hearing protection will be provided if needed and/or by request
- Exposure to fumes and/or airborne particles
- Manufacturing environment where temperatures drastically change from season to season
- Environment where the following exposures exist loud noise, moving mechanical parts and non-weather wet and/or humid conditions
WORK HOURS/TRAVEL
- 2nd Shift Work Schedule: 8 hr. shift
- Overtime as necessary
- Flexible scheduling in agreement with Manager
