Position Summary:
You will take a lead role in the creation and advancement of smart sensor technologies - from concept to prototype to full production. Bring your creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical expertise to a collaborative environment focused on performance, quality, and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
- Design & develop embedded electrical systems using schematics and PCB layouts
- Program embedded firmware in C for microcontrollers - bootloaders, drivers, comms, and application code
- Analyze circuits and simulations for signal conditioning & data acquisition
- Debug and integrate software on hardware platforms
- Select electronic components based on cost, function, and reliability
- Build and test sensor prototypes, develop test plans, and document outcomes
- Solve complex hardware/software design issues and collaborate with internal teams
- Lead customer interactions: defining specs, responding to proposals, and validating product requirements
- Maintain quality documentation like FMEAs, BOMs, process flows, and drawings
- Ensure compliance with customer and automotive industry standards
- Embrace continuous improvement and support our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- 4+ years in embedded system design and testing
- Experience with Cadence OrCAD (or equivalent PCB tools)
- Solid background in analog/digital circuit design
- Hands-on expertise with lab tools (DMMs, scopes, signal generators)
- Strong embedded C coding skills with comm protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, SENT)
- Knowledge of debugging tools, emulators, and logic analyzers
- Proficient with Microsoft Office for data analysis & reporting
- Preferred: Familiarity with ASPICE, ISO/SAE 21434, and automotive standards (SAE, ISO, CISPR)
