EUV OPP Group Leader

The Customer Support (CS) organization is responsible for the installations, qualification, repair, and maintenance of the ASML systems at customer sites and is responsible for the necessary transfer of knowledge to the customer. Local site Customer Support branches perform these tasks for the customer within the specific region.

Role and Responsibilities
The EUV OPP Group Leader will report to an EUV OPP Operations Manager and sets the operational course, technical direction, employee development and leadership to a team of leading engineers who provide support to ASML customers. Flawless execution and co-ordination of technical and operational activities completed by ASML personnel at the customer site are critical. Managing and coaching a group of lead engineers and assisting them on their individual growth journeys is also a key component.

This position is a leadership role in a 24x7 support organization. As part of a small team that functions 24x7 you are the first point of contact for both operational needs as well as organizational needs. You own your reports and are accountable for all of their output. This includes performance, skills management, quality, and above all safety.

The OPP team leader will work together with the current EUV OPP manager and EUV leadership team to support the 24x7 lead engineers in the office. The lead engineers will formally report into this team lead position. The team leader will flex working hours to match the same shifts as their team and will ensure continuous support for the 24x7 operations in both personnel scheduling and skills management in the team of 8 lead engineers.

The following are the leadership responsibilities this individual will have:

People Leadership

  • Lead a local customer support team, creating synergy and collaboration with other teams and ASML's customers.

  • Create an environment of trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort

  • Build an organization of technical leadership and teamwork that offers employees the opportunity to grow through active performance management, coaching and structured development.

  • Identify team needs including hiring, development, and performance management.

  • Consistently manage team according to ASML policies, procedures, and processes.

  • Meet individually with your Team Members in a 1:1 no less than one meeting per month.

Operational Leadership

  • Safety: Ensure all operations are performed in a safe environment and drive towards a culture of safety first.

  • Quality: Proactively identify and implement process improvements that enhance quality excellence, first time right and minimum variation.

  • Business targets: Drive organization to meet customer and ASML deliverables by meeting team commitments

  • Cost control: Drive initiatives regarding cost control and align your team to meet key performance indicator targets.

  • Customer interface - understand expectations, needs and drives quality and timely execution.

  • Supervise technical progress and proactively drive solutions with an empowered team.

  • Manage the operational, short-term workforce planning.

  • Internal and external stakeholder management

  • Support team during high pressure escalations

Education and Experience

  • Must have a Bachelors degree in a relevant technical field.

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in front end customer support in a technical, high pressure environment.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of people management experience.

  • Experience using Microsoft Suite.

  • Knowledge of the semiconductor industry.

  • Experience working in the semiconductor industry preferred.

  • Experience with operations and escalation management strongly preferred.

  • Will require time inside the clean room working with electromechanical equipment, dependent on company needs.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
