What you will do:
- Develop, implement, and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth, market expansion, and profitability.
- Build strategic account plans focusing on long-term growth and expansion.
- Leverage sales analytics and customer insights to drive strategic initiatives.
- Mentor, manage, and scale a high-performing sales team with a focus on account management, territory development, and customer success.
- Maintain and strengthen current customer relationships while developing new opportunities.
- Build a collaborative environment across project teams to enable cross-functional sales.
- Accountable for all financial metrics, revenue, GP, expenses, and EBIT targets.
- Regularly conduct market analysis to determine customer potential.
- Work with the marketing and digital teams to develop plans for the expansion of the business in other territories, target marketing, sales promotions, and social media programs.
- Resolve issues from customers, vendors, and other departments promptly, as needed for appropriate resolution.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and manufacturers to ensure the availability of inventory to meet customer needs.
- Work with purchasing/warehouse organizations to ensure timely availability/delivery of products.
What you will bring:
- Ten or more years of experience in a senior sales leadership role.
- Extensive experience in sales strategy, development, and execution.
- Demonstrated track record of revenue growth and sales performance.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with sales performance metrics.
- Strong people leadership skills and executive-level communication skills.
- Experience in the same or similar industry.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytic and quantitative skills with the ability to utilize data.
- Proficiency in utilizing CRM tools and sales management software.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Frequent travel and sitting in a vehicle to the customer's place of business or job site.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- The ability to analyze data, understand financial reporting, and utilize calculations to make informed decisions.
- Identify and solve complex business challenges.
- Ability to sit for an extended period of time.
- Requires close vision with computer and paperwork, distant and peripheral vision for driving and product selection, and depth perception for safety in warehouse and building.
- Requires ability to hear in-person and phone conversations.
- Primarily light industrial and office work areas.
- Exposure to construction sites with moderate to high noise levels. Sites may require the use of personal protective equipment.
Work Location: Responsibility for New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania footprint.
Hours: This is an exempt position. Although standard work hours are M-F, 8 am - 5 pm, availability beyond typical hours is sometimes required.
