As a Direct Life Sales Representative for American Family Insurance, you will learn to sell, quote, bind coverage for prospects. You will be responsible for completing extensive training and development programs for you to gain product knowledge, sales and customer service skills needed to effectively review existing coverage and advises prospects and customers regarding policy and coverage options.

In this primarily home-based role, you will spend 80% of your time (4+ days per week) working from home, proximate to one of our office locations (within approximately 35-50 miles). Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034

On occasion you may be asked to travel to an office location for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, trainings, and culture events.

A Life License is required for this position.

Position Compensation Range:

$25.00 - $31.25

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities
*You will sell life insurance products to new or existing customers via various customer contact channels. Estimates and quotes policy premiums complying with underwriting guidelines.
*Serve as additional sales support to existing channels to assist clients with recommending specific insurance solutions.
*Answer inbound conservation calls and makes proactive outbound calls to help conserve life policies.
*Work with policy holders and independent sales agents to identify and act on opportunities to conserve business.
*Review existing coverage and advises customers regarding policy options.
*Identify gaps in coverage and advises the customer of their risks; recommends additional coverage as needed, and suggests options.
*Make appropriate recommendations on policy coverage and options, closes sales, and works with life operations to process applications or changes to policies.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
*Attention to detail to provide accurate quotes to clients.
*Ability to multi-task on multiple computer systems/screens during a quote.
*Ability to clearly explain insurance concepts and coverages to clients.

Licenses
*Must have Resident Life license.
*Non-resident Life license within 90 days of hire.

Travel Requirements
*Up to 10%.

Physical Requirements
*Work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
