Ecolab is seeking a Laborer to join our team in Joliet, IL. In this hands-on position, you'll contribute to the reliability and performance of our systems by performing essential checks, supporting re-manufacturing operations, and ensuring every piece of equipment meets our high standards for safety and quality. You'll also help drive continuous improvement by using TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) tools and sharing insights that enhance efficiency and service.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Safely supports operators with filling and casing machinery for liquid and powder products in a manner that maintains production and quality standards.

  • Maintains a clean work area, understands SDS and the requirements of working with chemicals.

  • Determines packaging material needs from pack sheet and obtains correct labels and glue.

  • Supports set up and changeover of filling machines, case packers, glue machines, scales, and other equipment as needed.

  • Checks product and package appearance for any inconsistencies from specifications.

  • Takes part in TPM and Focused Improvement teams within the area.

  • Performs required SAP inventory and material use transactions.

  • Other duties as required by business needs or assigned by leadership.

Position Details:

  • Plant Location: Joliet, IL

  • Work Week & Shift: 6PM to 6AM, Week 1: MTFSa, Week 2L SWTh

  • Compensation: $19.34 per hour

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with basic hand and power tools
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Ability to read and execute instructions in English on packaging sheets
  • Immigration Sponsorship not available for this opportunity

Physical Demands:

  • Position requires lifting/carrying 50lbs

  • Position requires standing upwards of 10 hours

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Collaborative and team-orientated

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment

  • Time-management and communication skills

  • Experience in a similar manufacturing environment

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

The pay rate for this role is $19.34 per hour. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
