Event Setup Crew

Join the ILLUME Lighting + Event Design team in Eighty Four, PA, and become an essential member of our event setup crew. In this role, you will travel to various events across the region, utilizing your setup, work, and teardown skills to make a lasting impact. Help us create unforgettable experiences for our clients!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Understand and navigate event paperwork, including rental management software, floor plans, napkin drawings, and renderings.
• Work efficiently and carefully to minimize damage and breakage to inventory.
• Work collaboratively with the design team and leadership to execute their vision and deliver value to our valued clients.
• Load/unload transportation of all related event equipment.
• Set up and tear down lighting, draping, and decor for assigned events.
• Act as event staff for assigned events.
• Sweep and remove debris from event venues to ensure the venue is clean and without damage.
• Follow all safety guidelines as outlined in company policies and procedures.
• Deliver event equipment safely to venues using company-provided vehicles.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Ability to understand, read, and speak English.
• Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with the design and leadership team.
• Ability to take direction, multitask, and deal with competing demands.
• Knowledge and ability to use tools and equipment may include a hammer, screwdriver, hand drill, tape measure, dollies, lifts, and ladders.
• Able to work at heights up to 30? from ladders, scaffolding, and mechanical lifts.
• Ability to lift and carry 20-50 pounds repeatedly.
• You must be 18 or older, have a valid Driver's License, and have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Nature of the Work:

The job is typically very physical and demanding, requiring strength and stamina. You must be flexible, as last-minute schedule changes do happen.

Working Conditions:

Employees in this job may need to stand for prolonged periods. The work will be divided between indoor conditions, some of which may lack heating or air conditioning, and outdoor conditions that vary daily. This position requires constant interaction with co-workers and the public. It also involves frequent lifting and a significant amount of walking, bending, and carrying objects of varying weights and dimensions.

Pay Rate & Benefits:

The event crew position is seasonal, with variable weekly hours, with compensation starting at $25 per hour.
