Financial Controller
Full-Time | On-Site

As a key member of the leadership team, you'll take ownership of accounting functions, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting. Your analytical mindset and operational experience will support executive decision-making, improve financial processes, and ensure fiscal integrity across the business. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and financial standards
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Create and maintain detailed cash flow forecasts and financial projections
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and deliver actionable insights to leadership
  • Oversee daily transactional accounting, including payroll, inventory, and journal entries
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts
  • Strengthen internal controls to protect company assets and ensure process accuracy
  • Coordinate external audits and tax filings with third-party partners
  • Maintain corporate records and ensure accurate documentation
  • Hire, coach, and manage performance for the finance team
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive financial data and support risk management practices
  • Participate in company-wide initiatives focused on operational improvement and sustainability
  • Perform other finance-related responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master's preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting, including 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and applicable financial regulations
  • Experience with financial software systems (e.g., QuickBooks and inventory management tools)
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and leadership presence
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
