Overview

The Pharmacy Manager (Hematology/Oncology and Infusion Services) is a member of the Pharmacy leadership team. Areas of responsibility include management of pharmacy operations and clinical services in: 1) Hematology/Oncology, 2) Ambulatory Infusion Centers, and 3) Investigational Drug Services. The manager will have budgetary responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, 1) maintaining compliance with 340B, 2) procurement and management of high-cost medications, and 3) practicing financial stewardship by using and interchanging biosimilar medications when necessary.
Qualifications

Certifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Pharmacy or
  • Doctorate: Pharmacy

Work Experience:

  • Pharmacist - 3 years
  • Oncology - 1 year
  • Leadership (1-3 years preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Manages, implements, and coordinates comprehensive pharmacy operations and clinical pharmacy services programs that align with the overall department's program, integrating best practices, emphasizing patient safety and outcome optimization, and delivering the highest value care to patients and the organization.
  • Responsible for personnel and budgeting resources to affect the coordinated delivery of Pharmacy services.
  • Manages pharmacy services to ensure that all quality, legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards are met or exceeded. Promotes excellence based on departmental and organizational goals, with a commitment to the mission, philosophy, and strategic vision, direction, and priorities.
  • The scope of responsibility for this position includes 24-hour management accountability for assigned area(s). Actively participates in and supports pharmacy education programs and scholarly activities.
  • The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret information appropriately about the patient's age-specific needs is required.
  • Area(s) of responsibility include management of pharmacy operations and clinical services in: 1) Hematology/Oncology, 2) Ambulatory Infusion Centers, and 3) Investigational Drug Services.
  • The Pharmacy Manager provides demonstrated values-driven leadership and advocacy for pharmacy.
  • Manages, implements, and coordinates comprehensive pharmacy operations or clinical pharmacy services programs that align with the overall department's program, integrating best practices, emphasizing patient safety and outcome optimization, and delivering the highest value care to patients and the organization.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $60.16per hour - $103.48per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
