FOX is seeking a Senior Storage Engineer to design, build, and manage scalable storage and backup infrastructure across our Broadcast, Sports, Entertainment, and Corporate divisions in Los Angeles, Tempe, Charlotte, and West Chicago. This role requires deep expertise in hybrid data storage, protection, and mobility-supporting both on-prem and cloud environments.

As a key subject matter expert (SME), you'll collaborate with technical peers, business units, vendors, and OEM support teams to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and value across our infrastructure. A team-oriented and adaptable mindset is essential-we foster a culture centered on continuous learning, shared knowledge, and operational excellence.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a technical SME for hybrid storage and backup platforms including Quantum StorNext, Pure Storage, Pixit Media, Isilon, NetApp FAS/E-Series, Quantum QXS, Brocade SAN, Rubrik, and Veeam (experience with similar technologies is acceptable)

  • Partner with Media & Entertainment Engineering teams to architect solutions for geographically distributed data access and availability

  • Lead proof-of-concept evaluations for new technologies, and contribute to vendor/product selection decisions

  • Perform root cause analysis and post-incident reviews to improve the reliability of production systems

  • Adapt to evolving tools, platforms, and workflows as part of a continuous improvement mindset

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Proven experience with hybrid storage environments for both structured and unstructured data

  • Strong understanding of scalability challenges and throughput optimization

  • Deep knowledge of data protection methodologies and strategies

  • Expertise in at least one block storage, one file storage, and one backup/data protection system

  • Skilled at troubleshooting high-pressure incidents and conducting detailed root cause analysis

  • Working knowledge of AWS-especially S3, IAM, networking, and authentication protocols

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Team player who can also take ownership and lead implementation efforts

  • BS or equivalent work experience

  • Relevant Technology certification

WORK LOCATION

  • Hybrid in Los Angeles

SHIFT

  • Mon-Fri standard business hours

  • Rotating 24x7 On-call coverage

  • Rotating on-premise coverage during NFL Sundays and other marquee live events (including World Cup, World Series, Political Events/Debates coverage) throughout the year

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $102,000.00-163,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
