About the Role

An Assistant Account Executive role is an entry-level communications position. Typically, this role is assigned to work on one large account team or multiple small to mid-size accounts supporting the day-to-day needs of the team. AAEs are responsible for supporting the execution of tactics for client business and being a reliable asset to team members.

What You'll Do



  • Research and gather intelligence for client business and potentially new business using internal and external research capabilities, including use of Internet, social media platforms, and other existing and emerging communications resources
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage, social media discussion, and other relevant communications for clients, preparing reports under the supervision of an Account Executive or higher
  • Draft basic PR materials such as spokespeople bios, fact sheets, pitch letters, social media posts.
  • Develop a proficiency in referencing all communications assets per the client's internal medical/legal/regulatory process, as well as an expertise in the clients MLR process (including submissions)
  • Support the development of media lists and other reports (e.g., competitor, consumer, legislative, or interest group analyses)
  • Understand the dynamics of media relations, including preparing editorial calendars and pitching trade and appropriate consumer media, and social media content, including understanding platform best practices
  • Research and identifying influencers for client initiatives (e.g. celebrities, social media influencers, key medical opinion leaders, etc.)
  • Support the account team in arranging meetings and events, including press conferences, consumer events, senior client meetings, and other special events
  • Identify vendors for specific program projects, secure price quotes, help team decision-making
  • Develop and apply understanding of billing and budgeting processes
  • Participate in the financial process by developing activity reports that connect your team's work with the account's finances

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. $45,000 $100,000 USD
