About the Role:

The Data Specialist manages, secures and analyzes data pertaining to the Billing and Administration teams focusing on performing mass data imports. Working cross-functionally, the Data Specialist gathers data requirements and processes import requests for customer accounts, sales orders, contract subscriptions, and incidents along with ad hoc or requested needs. The Data Specialist position is very detail-oriented ensuring data accuracy, accessibility and integrity contributing to data-driven strategies and initiatives. The Data Specialist is responsible for maintaining routine data quality assurance reporting for the department while contributing to overall department success.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Perform one off and mass updates to customer data and RMR contracts in operating system per the department's standards
  • Completes daily tasks and responsibilities to ensure timely processing and accuracy of all recurring contract updates and sales accounts in Mood Media's operating systems
  • Analyzes data sets to identify account and billing discrepancies and making applicable updates
  • Performs timely execution of mid-month and month end closing procedures
  • Work with other departments to manage escalations and resolve issues at a system/process level
  • Identifies training and performance improvement opportunities within the Mass Upload process
  • Implements and maintains data quality standards, identifying and resolving data errors and discrepancies.
  • Creates and maintains quote templates
  • Creates and maintains device control sites such as Unity, Harmony
  • Creates reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate data findings and support decision- making.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and special projects as assigned by leadership

Essential Job Qualifications:

High School/GED required. Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration or other related degree preferred.

1+ years of related work experience or equivalent; Industry knowledge is a plus.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of contract administration and customer data base organization practices
  • Strong communication skills required, both written and verbal, which include the ability to communicate with tact and professionalism
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with Customers, both internal and external, positively collaborating in a professional environment
  • Ability to support all teams and members throughout the department
  • Ability to take direction and perform expected outcomes
  • Ability to perform basic data manipulation and analytics
  • Strong working knowledge of department and business systems, processes and procedures or able to learn within a reasonable timeframe to be successful
  • Strong organizational skills, high sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team by keeping others informed of issues and working together to find acceptable and practical business solutions
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, as well as systems knowledge of Oracle
