The Senior Analyst will join JLL's capital markets research team, partnering with business stakeholders to analyze business information, client intelligence and market trends. The Senior Analyst will report to the Director, Research, Capital Markets, and various executive-level leaders within JLL Capital Markets will serve as the other main stakeholders.

The role includes tracking, compiling and analyzing business information, conducting analysis on the firm's top clients and engaging in commercial real estate data initiatives related to the industrial investment market to drive a competitive advantage in the marketplace. The Senior Analyst will work in collaboration with a cross-functional team of research analysts, each specializing in different commercial real estate property sectors and investment areas.

What this job involves

  • Collaborate with the leaders of JLL's industrial capital markets platform to develop bespoke research deliverables and analysis for the industrial market, with a focus on capital markets trends (identifying trends across top investors, debt markets, product subtypes, etc)
  • Leverage data at our disposal (both internal intelligence and external data from vendors) to assist capital markets platform with opportunity identification, business strategy and revenue generation
  • Develop and maintain a market-leading Industrial Capital Markets Overview that will be presented to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Mine transactions pipeline reports on regular basis; provide updates on volumes and activity to capital markets leadership, summarize information (i.e.., status change reports)
  • Assist in maintaining best practices libraries of qualifications and case studies related to large-scale transactions across the industrial sector (domestically and internationally)
  • Produce and maintain property sector talking points on transactions activity and pricing trends for firm's senior executives
  • Utilize and be superuser of JLL's proprietary technology products to analyze bidding and pricing data, mine and maintain lists of underbidders, and develop unique content based on the data
  • Serve as go-to for ad hoc requests related to transactions (comps), pitches and research reports
  • Assemble data from key research resources, data vendors (such as Real Capital Analytics, Preqin, CoStar, NCREIF, etc.)
  • Integrate closely with JLL's national industrial research team to apply research content, thought leadership and market themes in pitches and pursuits across the capital markets team

Desired skills and experience for this job

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, real estate, or related field desired
  • Two to four years in commercial real estate analysis, business analysis, or related field
  • Working knowledge of commercial real estate dynamics is preferred
  • Strong organizational, analytical skills, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • A focus on responsiveness and resourcefulness, and ability to efficiently multi-task, prioritize and manage work in a dynamic environment with senior stakeholders
  • Command of Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
  • A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative and driven professional environment

Estimated total compensation for this position:

90,000.00 - 105,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
