Shift: Days Position Overview: Henry Ford Health is seeking a passionate and strategic Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of our School-Based Health Program. This role is essential in supporting our mission to provide accessible, high-quality healthcare to students in a school setting. Under the leadership of the Director/Administrator/VP/COO and Physician Leader, this position oversees operations, financial management, program development, staffing, compliance, and strategic initiatives that ensure excellence in care, student engagement, and community partnership. Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and oversight of daily operations for multiple school-based health centers, including staff, facilities, and resources. Manage financial activities including budgeting, fiscal monitoring, and resource allocation to ensure cost-effective care delivery. Support staffing functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and scheduling to maintain appropriate levels of clinical and support staff. Lead program development and expansion efforts that align with strategic goals, community needs, and educational partnerships. Ensure regulatory and grant compliance with federal, state, and local requirements for school-based health services. Implement quality improvement initiatives that enhance clinical outcomes, student satisfaction, and community impact. Serve as a key liaison between the health system, school districts, and community partners. Represent the department on internal committees and within local school and community-based meetings to advance program awareness and support. Support operational changes to meet goals for cost management, care quality, and satisfaction across all school-based health sites.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Health Care Administration, or related field. Master's Degree in Business or Health Care Administration or related field, preferred.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience. Three to five years progressive administrative experience preferred.
- Successful completion of the Henry Ford Health System Fellowship Program may be considered in lieu of the above experience.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with medical, administrative, support staff, patients and the public.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Analytical skills.
- Skilled in preparation and presentation of reports to various committees and groups.
- Ability to remain calm and poised in urgent situations.
- Skilled in effective planning, both strategic and short-term, and organizing attributes.
- Skilled in exercising initiative, judgment, problem solving, and decision making.
- Skilled in analysis development of comprehensive reports and interpretation of complex data.
- Ability to set priorities and avoid crises management.
- Knowledgeable in organization policies, procedures, systems, and objectives; Fiscal and human resource management techniques and applications; and Healthcare administration, including managed care administration, regulatory management, government regulations, and computer systems and applications.
