Description

The Day Services Assistant is responsible for providing a positive, stable environment with stimulating activities for Adult Day Services (ADS) clients. This position is responsible for making ADS clients feel comfortable in their environment while supervising activities of daily living, including transferring, ambulation and transportation.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30a-3:30p. No weekends or holidays!

Work Location: Saint Peter, Minnesota

Pay: The targeted pay range for this job is $17.50 - $19.75 per hour. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.

Essential Job Responsibilities:




  1. Assists with planning and leading daily activities and outings.



  2. Provides personal care support, including toileting, meals, showers, and transfers.



  3. Supervises clients and volunteers, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.



  4. Maintains accurate documentation and reports changes in client condition.



  5. Supports daily tasks such as cleaning, meal prep, and event setup.



  6. Performs additional duties as needed to support the Day Center team.





Minimum Required Qualifications:



  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
  • Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations



Preferred Qualifications:



  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Alzheimer's/Dementia training
  • Experience working with Seniors
  • Certification as Nursing Assistant or Personal Care Attendant
