Job Summary: Responsible for coordinating daily Tune Shop operations in a professional, courteous, and service-driven manner. Support, train and lead shop staff to success, work as a team player.

Hourly:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Base hourly pay range: $18.00 - $25.92 per hour.

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:
  • Provide all customers and employees with top quality customer service in all situations at all times
  • Assist manager in supervising a team of 5-10 employees. Assist in supervisory responsibilities such as training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Comply with Federal and California Labor law in all phases of the payroll and employment process; from hiring through termination, as well as all Company policies & procedures.
  • Enforce safety standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Fit boots, skis, snowboards, and poles to customers satisfaction
  • Operate the cash register; it should be each employee's goal to use the register without error and to be consistently accurate in money handling.
  • Daily use and maintenance of ski tuning machinery
  • RTP Inventory Systems knowledge and responsible for keeping accurate inventory records.
  • Creates process efficiencies and works with a sense of urgency.
  • Suggests, demonstrates and adjusts demo ski equipment, as well as snowboards.
  • Supervises, train and occasionally uses specialized tuning equipment.
  • Performs all duties of Rental/Tune shop personnel as needed.
  • Track use of consumables and notify manager for reorders as needed.
  • Keep tune shops in clean and safe condition at all times.


Competencies and Job Requirements:

Required:
  • Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and interact with others
  • Working knowledge of computers including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
  • Ability to define work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and courtesy.

Education and Experience:

Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years experience in Rental/Tune shop; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools.
  • Trained and knowledgeable of ski/snowboard equipment, binding and boot function and use.
  • One year supervisory experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of walking or standing 100% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift. Must be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting. pushing or pulling up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions.

Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the work place is usually moderate.

Equipment Used in Job: POS system, skis, boots, bindings, ski tuning equipment, hand tools.
