Summary: The Manager, Pharmacy, leads a team of pharmacy professionals and hourly staff in daily operations of a specific pharmacy function or location. The Manager pursues organizational goals as assigned through effective performance management, team-building, budget administration, and operational planning. Responsibilities: *Recruits, hires, orients and leads a team of pharmacy professionals and hourly staff. Coaches and develops assigned team. Fosters independence and autonomy through the delivery of timely, thorough, and constructive feedback on performance. *Maintains daily clinical operations and supports strategic financial goals of organization through administration of defined budget. Participates in budgetary planning process. Recommends capital spending based on preliminary cost-benefit analysis. *Monitors and evaluates the performance of pharmacy operations within assigned clinical environment using defined metrics, facilitating positive patient experience and care outcomes. *Defines policy for assigned area of responsibility, typically one work group. Maintains and develops documented policies and practices. Implements the change process. *Fosters and leads a continuous improvement approach to clinical operations for the purposes of efficient, ethical and quality care. Improves care outcomes through evidence-based practices. *Ensures compliant operations accountable to regulatory and accreditation authorities. Ensures and audits compliance with federal, state, local and institutional policies, procedures, standards and regulations. *Collaborates within assigned unit and the hospital at large to support strategic initiatives and goals. Partners with the Quality organization regarding defined metrics and areas of attention. Other information: Qualifications Required *Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy. *Licensed as a Pharmacist in the state of North Carolina. *Experience performing in a leadership capacity. Preferred *Doctoral degree in Pharmacy. *Three (3) years working in a pharmacist role. *Pharmacy Administration Residency training
