Job Description:

Responsibilities

The Business Analyst for IT Applications is responsible for leading the analysis, design, and implementation of technology solutions that support business objectives. This role acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring that application requirements are clearly defined, documented, and delivered effectively.

  • Analyze organizational information challenges, current processes, and procedures; recommend and implement new processes that improve system efficiency, productivity, consistency, controls and protocols across the enterprise
  • Orchestrate and lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, validate and document business requirements for IT applications
  • Lead requirements workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions
  • Evaluate existing IT applications and recommend improvements or new solutions to optimize business processes
  • Identify and resolve issues or gaps in requirements and processes
  • Develop use cases, user stories, process flows, and data models as needed
  • Work closely with developers, QA, and project managers to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly
  • Validate applications to ensure the functionalities are working per designed
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business analysis and IT applications
  • Provide user support, investigate and resolve issues of IT applications
  • Adhere to IS change control procedures
  • Create and maintain end to end business process functionality documentation for Microchip standard practices

Requirements/Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
  • Experience with business process modeling, requirements management tools, and data analysis
  • Excellent analytical skills in evaluating and interpreting end user information requirements, trouble shooting, problem solving, data extraction
  • Experience with scenario development, test case construction, flowcharting
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Experience in a specific domain (e.g. finance, supply chain, procurement) is preferred
