Summary As a Packaging Engineer, you will lead the technical and engineering aspects of stock, custom development, and sourcing projects. Ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Project Management, Product Design, and Sales, to deliver packaging solutions that support both new product launches and updates to existing lines. You will be instrumental in driving the design engineering, material selection, specifications, mold cost reviewing, testing, and implementation of packaging systems that are functional, cost-effective, and aligned with brand and product goals. Your work will also support quality assurance, sustainability initiatives, and evolving market demands, making cross-departmental collaboration essential to success. Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing support for projects focused on continuous improvement, ensuring progress, addressing challenges, and implementing enhancements to optimize processes or products.
- Prepare packaging technical documents, including the Product Performance Qualification (PQP) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), to outline quality standards and assess potential risks in the packaging process.
- Review technical drawings and conduct tolerance stack analysis to ensure that all parts and components fit together correctly and meet design specifications without interfering with each other.
- Contribute to sustainability efforts.
- Help coordinate and perform when needed packaging testing and mold qualification activities.
- Drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the processes you handle, creating clear, step-by-step instructions, best practices, and protocols to ensure tasks are performed consistently, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.

Language Requirements:
- Required: Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Preferred: Proficiency in Spanish or Mandarin is a strong plus, especially for collaboration with international teams and suppliers.
Location & Work Arrangement:
- The first 30 days M-F in Dallas office
- A minimum of 3 days a week (M-F) in office. Days in office are determined by your manager.
- Work hours are 8 hours a day, with a starting time of 8:00 a.m., a one-hour lunch break, and an end time of 5:00 p.m
- Potential travel to US, Mexico, and China suppliers and partners as needed. You must provide your passport.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Paid packaging or engineering experience preferred. Experience in an internship or academic project related to packaging or product development is acceptable.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Pro/E) is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Interest in sustainable packaging practices and global manufacturing processes.
