FAME - Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education is a work/learn program that Major Tool is a sponsoring employer to support the talent pipeline for Industrial Maintenance Technicians. For the 2025 Fall Program entry, current Major Tool employees interested in pursuing Industrial Maintenance as their career are invited to apply and learn more about this opportunity. A maximum of two candidates will be selected for entry for fall entry. Earn 61 credit hours from Vincennes University, attending classes at the Aviation Technology Center near the Indianapolis airport and complete approximately 1800 hours of on-the-job training while going to school. The program focuses on the development of soft skills and professional behaviors, which compliment the core technical curriculum. Applicants must be able to meet the admission requirements for Vincennes by having a high school diploma or GED with transcript documentation and pass Accuplacer testing. If you are interested in continuing your technical education and making a career in this critical field, with 100% of your tuition paid and are able to work a reduced schedule of approximately 30 hours/week for 2 years, this might be the career opportunity of a lifetime! This is a part time position with work hours scheduled each semester based on school schedule. 30 hours on average can be maintained for full benefit eligibility. |
