Job Title - Scaffolding Superintendent
Position Summary
The Scaffold Superintendent is responsible for supervising and directing operations within the scaffolding discipline. Supervises and directs scaffolding craft, subordinate supervisors, and others, as assigned. Ensures assigned construction performance is following specifications and within schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities
* Provide ES&H leadership to personnel assigned to their department. This includes preparation and implementation of safety procedures and leading Client's and subcontractor safety meetings.
* Inspect site for unsafe conditions and practices and take appropriate corrective action to correct breaches.
* Coordinate safety training and always enforce safe work practices in conjunction with the Environmental Safety and Health Supervisor.
* Champion the cause of ZERO Accident Philosophy. Ensure that Client's and local/national safety codes, requirements and standards are being complied with within assigned area of responsibility.
* Review and approve subcontractor equipment/personnel mobilization and demobilization.
* Plan the manpower and equipment required to execute the job.
* Monitor the activities of craft to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
* Interface with Labor/Industrial Relations for craft recruitment and training programs.
* Coordinate with the General Foreman to hire craft labor to execute work.
* Perform employee reviews and identify training and development opportunities for subordinate scaffolding personnel.
* Review craft time records using established automated tools.
* Responsible for the cost, schedule and optimization of craft labor and maintaining the 90 day and four-week look ahead schedules for labor and equipment.
* Prepare reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, craft personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecasts.
* Provide input to quantity tracking applications and report weekly installed quantities to Project Controls.
* Responsible for implementing corporate project policies, procedures, and instructions within their assigned area(s) of operation.
* Coordinate and implement established area operational plans.
* Prepare material requisitions for tools and consumables and coordinate through Procurement to obtain these materials.
* Assist in performing construction testing as required.
* Perform other duties as required by Client's management.

Basic Qualifications
* University/B.S degree in Engineering or Construction Management plus 6 years of experience OR 10 years of equivalent industry experience in-lieu of a degree.
* Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken.
* Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating station construction is preferred.
* Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
* Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
* Preferred: Experience on an LNG construction site especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
