Role Description The Technical Project Manager role is part of the Real Estate Technology Enablement & Data Insights (TEDI team) that focuses on ensuring we are leveraging the full features and capabilities of our real estate systems to the benefit of our employees, customers and guests. The Technical Project Manager (TPMs) plays a critical role in leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives within our Tech Enablement and Data Insights team. The TPM is responsible for seeing programs through from beginning to end, ensuring a better workflow and more effective communication. They work closely with executives and key company stakeholders to drive critical programs and activities across the company.
Responsibilities
Lead programs by achieving alignment on program scope, release planning, as well as aligning one or more teams on vision, business goals, crafting program structure, and securing cross-functional alignment. Driving teams through the technology engineering experience using agile and demonstrated analytical and technical skills. Lead Steering Committee meetings with key stakeholders for each program to help make key decisions, remove obstacles, and address key program issues. Be the key driver to ensure business goals are met and support the strategic vision of each project. Develop strong partnerships with functional leaders to drive focus on business objectives. Be a trusted partner for executive management to ensure project success. Support workgroup alignment meetings to address tactical implementation issues, dependencies, team status, risks, issues, metrics review, milestones, etc. Provide visibility to project status (key decisions, dependencies, issues, risks, metrics, etc.) on an ongoing basis through push status reporting (to all stakeholders, team members, and interested parties). Manage "program/feature" dependencies across multiple teams, functions, divisions, and stakeholders. Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow down or prevent project teams from delivering on project goals. Provide monthly project reviews and updates at sprint reviews (deep dive into current state of project goals, risks, escalations) Create a collaborative environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and learning. Be a thought leader within the organization, someone who can help advance our Technology Enablement strategy globally and challenge others in the organization to change.
Experience/Skills Required:
7+ years of successfully implementing and managing technology programs & projects Ability to understand technical subjects and technologies relevant to the programs\projects. PMP Certification -preferred. Strong organizational, project management, analysis, and communication skills. Ability to provide TEDI Leadership with Program documentation/executive leadership summaries. Ability to drive Strategic Initiatives without a structured project structure with minimal oversight. Coordination for Technology Roadmap sessions (agendas/logistics/attendees). Ability to work well as a member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members. Comfortable bending between the tactical and strategic. Ability to manage/juggle competing priorities without loss of efficiency in a dynamic, ever changing environment. Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies. Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation. Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members alike. Ability to successfully collaborate with all functions across the entire company. Experience with Portfolio Management.

For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $133,400 to $183,500.
