(BAI) is looking for an experienced Operations Finance Manager to work in close connection with the CFO and Business Unit leadership. We are looking for this person to contribute directly to team success and company growth. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and a proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives, provide support, analysis and recommendations to the CFO and Business Unit management while being involved with the details of the day-to-day business. Responsibilities Work with the CFO in all aspects of financial administration, business planning, accounting, treasury, financial and budgeting process Assist with all bank and credit activities including accurate and timely reporting to banks to maintain compliance with credit agreements. Prepares and presents formal cost volume reviews, as required. Work with labor cost and indirect rates to develop hourly rate build up structures. Review price proposals for risk and profitability with CFO, Operations and operations managers. Operational support in day-to-day activities as needed to business unit leadership, project managers, program managers, and other senior management. Develop other direct cost estimates to include travel, vendor costs, and material cost proposals. Utilize various analysis techniques (historical actuals, trending, forecasting, parametric estimating, etc.) to verify cost realism and reasonableness of price proposals and internal cost estimates. Involvement with project initiation, set-up and compliance with contractual terms and conditions. Administer the financial performance through the completion of projects by analyzing costs, revenue, profit and risk for business units. Responsible for ensuring financial integrity of projects. Participate in support of departmental project forecasting Work with the CFO and business unit leadership to develop and produce annual budget, quarterly forecasts and associated reporting to the Board an Sr Management team Support CFO in cash forecasting and reporting Produce monthly/quarterly financial and operations reporting including financial analysis, labor utilization, and operations forecasts. Preparing variance analysis of revenues, expenses and other program costs against monthly budget for business unit. Assist in redefining and improving upon operational processes and policies within business units to help enhance efficiencies while reducing costs. Prepare recommendations to business unit management and team based upon data and analytics of BU needs. Support the Accounting department to achieve an efficient and timely close of monthly and annual financials supporting the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports in the monthly closing process including the review and reporting of departmental revenues, expenses, and program costs. Analyze monthly financial statement variances. Develop monthly financial metric reports Prepare CAPEX cost justification and establish as required. Preparation of various ad hoc reporting and analytics of various operational costs and procedures as defined by the CFO Engage in the development of schedules and reports associated with the annual financial audit or any federal agency audit (such as DCAA) Assist in the ERP conversion and the ongoing development of the system to support the ever changing needs of the company Qualifications
Knowledge and Skill Requirements B.S. in Finance or Accounting with MBA a plus (experience in lieu of degree will be considered) 8+ years of experience in accounting, finance and procurement related activities. Strong analytical and accounting skills Experience with relevant laws, regulations, terms and conditions, and policies for government contractsincluding FAR, DFAR, TINA and CAS. Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) experience and knowledge. Financial modeling and cost accounting Advanced skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint Estimate at Completion (EAC) Model development Competency Skills Must have the ability to question and solve complex pricing issues. Must be able and willing to operate against stringent deadlines with accuracy and a strong attention to detail. Must be able to work and manage using conceptual judgment and initiative in dealing with complex financial issues. Must be results-oriented and demonstrate strategic thinking, innovation, flexibility in dealing with changing and ambiguous situations. Demonstrated success managing comprehensive financial analysis in support of proposal development or departmental budgeting & forecasting. Must be committed to a "service oriented" mentality in supporting programs and business units Cooperative attitude Must be able to work with confidential data, which if disclosed, might have significant internal and external impact on the organization. Excellent financial analysis and modeling skills, including advanced Excel experience Must possess strong listening skills Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
