About the Job

Short Research Description:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to state-of-the-art experimental studies of quantum devices relevant for topological and superconducting qubits. The successful candidate will participate in all stages of these experiments, from initial concepts to device fabrication, measurements, data discussion and analysis. The successful candidate will interact extensively with the PI, graduate and undergraduate students.

Job Duties:

35 % experiment design and execution
35 % research
30% presenting and writing about research

Other duties of a similar scope as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Physics (subfield: experimental condensed matter physics) or closely related field, such as Electrical Engineering.

Preferred Requirements:
Applicants whose PhD work included substantial experimental work with a focus on superconductor, semiconductor or hybrid semiconductor-superconductor quantum electronic devices, and microwave approaches applied to quantum circuits.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $62,000 - $75,000; depending on education/qualifications/experience
