TITLE:Senior Software Engineer

Location: 1130 Sanctuary Parkway, Alpharetta, GA 30009; Must live within reasonable commuting distance from HQ and able to appear in office as required.

Salary Range: $149,760 - $196,500 /yr

Job Description: The Provider Management team is responsible for supporting the Provider Pega platform at Delta Dental. The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with our business, product, and technology teams in an agile development environment to drive how technology enables more efficient business processes and simplified user experiences. The Senior Software Engineer will lead a high-performing cross-functional team, providing solutions, recommendations, and estimates, helping other development team members, reviewing code, and following industry best practices. Must live within reasonable commuting distance from HQ and able to appear in office as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Creating various rules such as process flows, stages, Workbaskets/Worklists, Data transforms, Activities, connectors to integrate applications and databases, etc. to recruit, credential, onboard, and manage the providers using Pega;
  2. Building microservices/APIs to connect the Pega front-end platform and other applications and databases using J2EE, REST, and SOAP;
  3. Developing new features/capabilities and maintain the provider management application using Agile, Test-driven development;
  4. Fixing and releasing products through continuous deployments using Jenkins for CI/CD;
  5. Storing and managing providers, retrieving meaningful insights, and generating reports using Oracle Database aor SQL;
  6. Designing systems to make applications scalable with distributed architecture using Jira, Visio, Lucid chart.


QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software engineering, or in the job offered or in a software engineering-related role.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 22. $149,760 - $196,500
