Set-Up Technician

Staffmark is hiring a Set-Up Technician in Jacksonville, AR to help ensure smooth execution of production activities in alignment with the master schedule. This is a great opportunity for someone with production planning experience who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay: $21.00/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

The Set-Up Technician plays a broader role in managing production flow, troubleshooting schedule issues, maintaining data accuracy, and collaborating with multiple departments to meet delivery goals.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and execute production schedules for assigned items
• Identify and resolve material or resource shortages to support on-time completion
• Manage manufacturing orders using AS400 MRP reports
• Ensure work orders include up-to-date engineering drawings and revisions
• Adjust schedules based on customer order changes
• Recreate or close out work orders and track production documentation
• Maintain accurate planning data (lead times, lot sizes, safety stock)
• Communicate delays and issues to the Master Scheduler
• Collaborate across departments to address discrepancies and streamline workflow
• Follow safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in production control, inventory, purchasing, or manufacturing
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with Kanban systems and SAP preferred
• Intermediate Excel and basic Word proficiency
• Strong math, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Able to manage detailed tasks and documentation independently
• Flexibility to work overtime or weekends when needed
