Supply Chain Analyst - Forecasting/Demand Planning

Summary:

The main function of a supply chain analyst is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to the production schedule. A typical supply chain analyst is responsible for reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels, cost, etc. This position will focus on all operational activities that occur with several key National Retail Accounts.

Responsibilities:



  • Demand Forecasting, Reporting, Customer Process identification and improvement, Root Cause Analysis, and Sales trend analysis.
  • Activities have a direct impact on both sales revenue and profitability within the assigned account base.
  • This position will also maintain strong relationships with customers as well as with Sales, Supply Chain/Logistics, Marketing and so on.
  • Demand Forecasting.
  • Various daily/weekly/monthly reporting.
  • Order management - Help to ensure orders are shipped promptly to meet the customer's requested delivery date.
  • Process Improvement, Sell Through Analysis (Customer), Sales Forecast to Actual Sales Analysis.
  • Use of supply chain system for order management, reporting, and forecasting.
  • KPI (Baseline Improvement).
  • Conduct Root Cause analysis.



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 5- 15 years of related professional experience in Supply Chain and/or Operations
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (Macros are a big plus)
  • Very detail-oriented, with strong follow-up, and organizing abilities.
  • Superb communication (not afraid to speak in front of others) & collaborative skills, hard-working, flexible to work OT as needed (maybe on weekends).
  • Forecasting or Demand Planning with working with retailer experience is preferred.
  • Must be very detailed and must follow up on a large number of tasks.
  • Experience in working directly with customers and maintaining positive relationships with them.
  • Proficiency with Advanced Excel data management functions using advanced formulas.
  • SAP and BI (Business Intelligence) experience a plus, able to use internal systems.
  • Self-starter with a strong focus on exceeding customer satisfaction goals.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced multicultural environment.
