Compliance Officer I - Risk Assessment Analytics (Remote)

Overview

This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.

This position is responsible aggregating qualitative and quantitative data sets utilized in the AML & Sanctions Risk Assessment. Reconciles large data sets across disparate sources with a high degree of accuracy and heightened regulatory scrutiny. Creates dashboard reporting of AML & Sanctions Risks, Key Indicators, performance metrics, including the measurement of risk and direction. Serves as a liaison between different areas of the Financial Intelligence Unit, like Sanctions, Transaction Monitoring, Client Risk Rating, etc. to identify and resolve complex issues.


Responsibilities

  • Business Oversight and Support - Manages different relationships/personalities to facilitate risk assessment data collection. Ability to question underlying data to identify differences and similarities between data sources, advocate for standardization and future automation of SQL queries through production jobs, etc. Business Oversight and Support - Manages different relationships/personalities to facilitate risk assessment data collection.   • Data Lineage - Experience in documenting data collection sources, including the ability to interpret logical statements, like SQL code.
  • Advanced Excel Skills - Experience in MS Excel, including advanced formulas and functions, pivot tables, etc.
  • Advanced PowerPoint Skills - Experience in MS PowerPoint, including generating meaningful charts and graphs to dashboard key risks and controls
  • Advanced Analytical skills - Experience performing gap analysis, including the ability to reconcile information between multiple data sources to assure quality, consistency, and accuracy. Ability to aggregate large data sets, analyze data, apply segmentation to identify outliers and trends, utilizing graphs and charts.
  • Reporting - Prepares reports for management, including identifying qualitative and quantitative metrics aligned to the Bank's exposure to AML & Sanctions risks. Experience creating dashboards in Business Intelligence tools, or other data visualization tools, like Tableau.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Audit, Banking OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Audit, Banking

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multiple business units and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • At least one of the following professional certifications is preferred: Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Anti-Money Laundering and Fraud Professional (CAFP), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP).

The base pay for this position is generally between $88,000 and $140,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
