Description

Markon is seeking Administrative Support Specialists to support our NRO client at multiple locations across the US.



Responsibilities

The ideal Administrative Support Specialist will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following tasks:

    Maintain and manage schedules of appointments and meetings for managers, offices, and functions.

  • Track the status of incoming and outgoing correspondence and actions.

  • Pass and receive security clearances and prepare access lists.

  • Manage office file plans and document archiving systems.

  • Coordinate and arrange travel for unit managers and other staff.

  • Process travel, training, and privately owned vehicle (POV) vouchers.

  • Escort visitors and guests as needed.

  • Provide backup administrative support to other offices in the directorate.

  • Assist with onboarding new employees, including setting up phones and email groups.

  • Manage office supplies and coordinate equipment repairs.

  • Produce and coordinate documents such as instructions, spreadsheets, presentations, and reports.

  • Monitor office phone lines.

  • Maintain knowledge management tools, databases, and spreadsheets.

  • Disseminate information to stakeholders.

  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements to administrative processes.

  • Ensure meeting rooms are fully equipped and functional.

  • Prepare presentation materials and background documentation for meetings.

  • Plan, schedule, and manage logistics for meetings, conferences, and site visits.

  • Record meeting minutes and brief administrative updates as needed.

  • Prepare weekly status reports for initiatives and actions.

  • Serve as a focal point or action officer for specific programs or processes.

  • Ensure compliance with all NRO regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Track and monitor administrative and program support activities.

  • Draft, proofread, and finalize all official correspondence.

  • Create content for briefing packages and present information as required.

  • Perform MAT Program Management Coordinator (PMC) duties.



Qualifications

Required:

  • TS/SCI with a Counterintelligence Polygraph (Preferably with this client)
  • High School Diploma, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree required (dependent on level)

  • 2-10+ years of relevant administrative experience

  • Experience managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling travel logistics

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document preparation

Desired:

  • Experience supporting government or defense agencies

  • Familiarity with NRO processes and administrative systems

  • Knowledge of records management systems and government travel regulations

  • Experience coordinating large-scale meetings or off-sites



Salary Range

USD $90,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.

The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
