Job Summary |
Auburn Advancement is excited to begin the search for a Development Support Specialist to join our philanthropy team! In this position, you'll play a role in executing operational philanthropy strategies and coordinate fundraising initiatives.

- Evaluate and Innovate: Use data and insights to track progress and recommend more impactful ways to engage donors.
- Optimize Operations: Manage day-to-day program activities, including budgeting, coordinating logistics, and streamlining philanthropy operations.
- Facilitate Fundraising Initiatives: Support key efforts with principal gift workshops and donor strategies that help deepen relationships and grow support
- Champion Philanthropy: Play a vital role in fueling Auburn's mission by ensuring the people, processes, and tools behind our fundraising efforts are strong, seamless, and donor-centered.

Essential Functions |
Purpose:
- Coordinate strategic philanthropy projects, campaign tracking, ticketing, and budget activities that advance the mission of Auburn Advancement.
- Support leadership in data-driven decision-making by managing reporting systems, timelines, and updates on key initiatives.
Collaboration:
- Partner with internal Advancement units and unit-based fundraising teams to align efforts and streamline philanthropy operations.
- Serve as a resource and trainer for staff involved in fundraising support, ensuring consistent communication and shared best practices.
Innovation:
- Create and refine tools, templates, and processes that enhance reporting, planning, and tracking of fundraising activity.
- Research and apply industry best practices in Advancement and higher education fundraising to drive continuous improvement.
Production:
- Manage accurate and timely financial documentation, monitor budgets, and ensure policy compliance in financial transactions.
- Organize and update records of donor engagement, project progress, and program participation to support effective stewardship and reporting.

- Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience in budget services, fundraising, sales, or marketing
