Position Summary:

HVAC Technicians are responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for industrial HVAC systems at the facility by conducting proactive performance testing and scheduled maintenance. They participate in planning and organizing the necessary maintenance, while they are performing the maintenance under minimal supervision. They execute preventive and corrective work orders, and they provide support to various types of equipment and systems repairs.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Comply with all Safety rules, Nestle Integrated Management System and all other company policies and procedures

* Install, repair, adjust, and maintain small electric or pneumatic control systems used for building. This includes heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment.

* Conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.

* Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine best course of action for equipment modifications.

* Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems and give recommendations.

* Perform work based on verbal instructions and rough sketches

* Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.

* Conceive ideas and suggest parts to solve potential building or facility related problems.

* Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.

* Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

* Maintain a safe, clean work environment by cleaning up equipment and work area at end of each day

* Interact and participate with project teams and facility employees as required

* Support Sustainability Roadmap for the site

Job Qualifications (Minimum Education, Experience, and Knowledge)

* High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

* Minimum 3 years of related experience required

* Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

* Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.

* Strong communication skills to exchange straightforward information.

* Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

* Good Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel)

* Good people skills at all levels of management
