Position Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for performing the receipt and shipment of materials, supplies, and equipment in warehouse and manufacturing environments requiring Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). This role ensures accuracy and efficiency in verifying incoming shipments, preparing materials for shipping, and maintaining records. The coordinator will work closely with freight vendors, team members, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of materials. This role performs initial ingredient and packaging registration. Additionally, this role involves problem-solving to address any issues promptly and effectively, cross-training in other Supply Chain functions and other duties as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Perform the receipt of materials, supplies, and equipment including chemicals

* Verify incoming shipments for quality and accuracy.

* Document and investigate shipping discrepancies.

* Prepare materials and documents for shipping using courier and Nestle software

* Perform dangerous/hazardous goods shipping

* Maintain accurate records of shipments and receipts.

* Communicate and coordinate with freight vendors, project team members, and other departments.

* Process initial ingredient and packaging registration in NesTMS

* Physically move goods and materials using forklifts, pallet jacks and motorized utility carts as needed

* Support equipment management and inventory processes

* Maintain a safe and clean working environment

* Crosstrain to support other Supply Chain functions.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Adhere to warehouse, inventory, safety guidelines, GMPs and SOPs

Job Qualifications (Minimum Education, Experience, and Knowledge)

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years of Supply Chain experience preferred.
  • Good interpersonal skills for dealing with superiors and peers.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Forklift Experience

Specific requirements

Organized, dependable, independent, self-starter, ability to multi-task, oriented to meet deadlines, good customer service skills, good communication skills, good self-control, essential to be accurate and exact, basic computer skills, ability to be trained to operate a fork lift, ability to lift 50 Lbs., ability to be trained to use computer software packages such as SAP, NesTMS, etc., ability to perform administrative duties such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.

Knowledge of transportation and logistics principles and methods of moving goods by air, sea, rail or ground preferred.
