Compensation:

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is$85,300.00 to$142,200.00.Rewards and Benefits:

Position Details:

We seek a Software Engineer II (SE2) with strong analytical and technical skills to work on a complex gateway and service mesh solutions across multi-region, multi-cluster environments. This role requires an individual with exceptional problem-solving skills who can design, implement, and optimize complex systems for real-time experimentation, controlled deployments, and performance optimization across a large-scale platform.

Evolving the technology to support Platform Api gateway requires continuous iteration and close collaboration with our engineering and business partners. You will work alongside platform engineers, product teams, and site reliability engineers (SRE) to ensure smooth integration and scalability across microservices and front-end components. You will report to Manager Platform Engineering and can work hybrid in the US.


You Will:

* Design and implement advanced system management solutions that support controlled and scalable deployments across a distributed e-commerce platform.

* Collaborate with product, engineering, and SRE teams to establish strategies for seamless and efficient system integration and management.

* Develop and maintain automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines for system configuration and deployment.

* Establish monitoring and alerting systems to track system performance, with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues in real-time.

* Integrate new systems into existing infrastructure components

* Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions that minimize impact on customer experience during changes or updates.

* Document and create best practice guides while providing technical leadership to other engineers on system architecture and optimization strategies.

* Pair program with developers daily to ensure better quality code, shared knowledge and increased resiliency of our applications.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience with Modern Software Engineering projects and practices: designing, building, and deploying scalable software applications.
  • 2+ years of experience in designing, building and deploying cloud native solutions.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Understanding of distributed system design.
  • Familiarity with deploying React.js and Next.js frameworks applications deployments to Kubernetes.

Familiarity with deploying Java, Spring Boot, or similar frameworks applications to Kubernetes.

  • Proven experience collaborating across teams to develop and implement software engineering best practices.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity working with data teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
