Creighton University in Omaha, NE is seeking to hire a motivated, and collaborative Mental Health Practitioner.

This is a full-time, on campus position in Student Counseling Services. Provides individual, group and couples counseling for students in the context of psychological services. Includes conducting intake interviews, assessing students' mental status through interviews or observations, and developing treatment plans or making referrals to the appropriate services. Provides crisis intervention services, case management, and outreach programming to students, as well as consultation services to faculty, staff and referral sources.

Multicultural competence and cultural humility is highly valued. Ability to conceptualize a broad range of clinical issues from a multicultural and social justice perspective is a must.

Qualifications



  • Master's degree in counseling or social work.
  • 3+ years of experience in counseling or related area preferred
  • Licensed Mental Health Practitioner or Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner required. Provisional will be considered.
  • Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
  • Understanding of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, and for career counseling and guidance.
