Your role and responsibilities
As Regional Managing Director, for the Americas Hub you will be drive business across Canada, North America, Mexico, Brazil and wider Latin America. The main goal is to achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing and overseeing the above countries' activities. You'll contribute to designing and implementing a global strategic plan, with adjustments to succeed in the local markets, and to expand the company's revenue and ensure its strong presence on the market. The position implies direct responsibility over the local countries in all their activities, giving support to the business initiatives working in collaboration with leaders in the countries by defining sales budget, targets, goals and relevant commercial strategies to achieve them in alignment with corporate objectives. This role reports directly to the Chief Sales Officer, and thus, a part of the sales leadership team of the division. The work model for the role is: Onsite #LI-Onsite You will be mainly accountable for: *Accelerate growth within the region by achieving excellent results and hitting top line targets by adopting global strategies and fine tuning to local needs. Expanding alternative go-to market routes and Value Providers to adopt access to customers in the region. *Oversee all operations to include successful implementation of strategic and business plans and oversee the development of the annual operating and capital budgets for each country and ensure expenses comply with budget constraints while revenue meets or exceeds budgeted goals. Responsible for end-to-end margin contribution in the region *Ensure countries are compliant with company's corporate policies and procedures 360 and ensure provision of quality service is consistent with company's goals. Oversee and participate with quality assessment and performance improvement activities *Elevate C-level contacts with relevant customers to guarantee high level satisfaction and strong partnership while developing further relationships with existing and new customers *Responsible for collecting customer feedback and improving customer satisfaction in the region and conducting talent reviews, succession planning, and talent development *Increases focus on the organization on driving new technology adoption at customers, as well as developing the services portfolio and sales, drives adoption of new tools, like SFDC, with a strong focus of pipeline mgmt. and forecasting to achieve targets. Working with Marketing to coordinate campaigns, events, and overall strategy for lead generation and new customer acquisition *This role will drive interaction and support with functions located at Eggelsberg, Austria. Division's HQ and will require travel to this location in addition to other international group sites *Review/approve country policies based on the company's mission, care standards and business practices making sure corporate policies and procedures are always followed ensuring that corporate initiatives and directives are implemented *Follow important guidelines regarding Integrity and Safety in every situation, and comply with all Internal risk reviews, and compliance guidelines.
Qualifications for the role
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree with minimum 15 years of experience with progressive career growth in similar product mgmt. and sales roles
- Broad Experience with selling and supporting industrial customers
- Experience in a Managing Director / Senior Leadership role with international experience
- Record of developing new markets, and familiarity with alternative market channels in industrial automation company is an advantage
- Strong generalist with good understanding of multiple functional disciplines, mostly Industrial Automation and Finance related
- Demonstrable experience in developing strategies and business plans
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
