Overview:

Post Production Supervisors are responsible for executing all assigned post-production projects in the content pipeline from shoot to publish. They are responsible for assigning and scheduling work to staff and freelance resources. They excel at making sure all projects run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining good relationships and communication with numerous internal teams and outside vendors. This candidate should be highly organized, able to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, understand the needs of the editors, anticipate upcoming projects, and work well under various deadlines. This role reports to the Director of Post Production.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assign, schedule, track, and project manage video edits from start to distribution on schedule and on budget; be able to pinpoint any episode at any time for delivery timing and evaluation

  • Manage numerous projects across several editors, creative producers, and brands concurrently

  • Coordinate with internal Editor and Finishing departments and external vendors to ensure proper resourcing for every aspect of and scheduling for every project

  • Ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule; determine and manage priorities when creative, air dates, or other variables shift

  • Collaborate with producers and editors during post production, providing creative and technical notes as needed and be a throughline from pre-pro to delivery

  • Review content throughout the post process; provide quality-control feedback (audio, color, copy, design) to editors during a project, and provide feedback on edit resources and production to senior post management

  • Provide frequent, concise, and accurate communication with all stakeholders regarding project delivery, including Scheduling, Video Operations/Publishing, Talent, and Social Cutdowns teams

  • Manage time effectively and learn quickly; stay calm under pressure and excel in fast-paced project timeframes

  • Coordinate with Post Management by providing post schedules and estimated resource needs for accurate budgeting

  • Assist in onboarding editors and other team members to post-production processes and workflows

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of post production coordination or supervision experience, preferably with digital content

  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to our office in New York, NY, or Los Angeles, CA

  • Deep knowledge of post-production processes, workflows, and best practices, including scheduling and final deliverables

  • Experience creating post-production schedules and budgets

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Media Encoder, After Effects) required; experience as an editor a plus

  • Top-notch organizational skills, ability to take direction and give orders as needed

  • Work independently and with teams, able to decipher problems and create solutions

  • Self-driven and able to complete tasks with minimal guidance if necessary

  • Adept at determining priorities and able to hit deadlines; ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a deadline-driven environment

  • Productivity-focused and proven to be a quick problem solver, with ability to overcome technical challenges as necessary

  • Experience with AirTable and Forecast required

Salary is also commensurate with experience.

The expected base salary range for this position is from $84,000-$93,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.

In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may also be eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation.
