JOB MISSION:

As the Associate Allocation Manager, you will be responsible for the performance management of the allocation team for all NA owned retail stores. You will be responsible for the development of and execution of the allocation plan and strategy with the goal of meeting/exceeding sales and gross margin targets, while maximizing in-stock and inventory turns. You will lead the team in defining and implementing allocation best practices and will also be the allocation/replenishment system expert. Partnering with buyers, you will lead the allocators to determine and maintain store groups and ranks on a seasonal basis and utilize the allocation and replenishment system to execute each product life cycle allocation and manage the replenishment strategy.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for the performance management of the allocation team for the NA owned retail stores

  • Responsible for the hiring, on boarding, and training of new associates

Develop/Execute Allocation Strategies.

  • Allocation/Replenishment system expert (SME) on the Allocation team. Understands A/R functionality and incorporates into Allocation/Replenishment strategies

  • Lead and communicate directly with the Allocation team to share trends, allocation strategies, and methodologies

  • Work jointly with buyers and planners to determine departmental and store level inventory projections and flow to support sales plans and achieve turn goals

  • Manage auto replenishment and adjust based on sales trend, seasonal factors, and business needs

  • Manage and track PO flow and inventory to retail stores

  • Maximize shipping efficiency across the distribution network based on store and consumer location (Right product in the right location at the right time)

  • Determine appropriate allocation strategy for product type based on product life cycle to minimize EOL inventory

  • Develop allocation practices that consider store capacity, demand, and seasonality

Analysis

  • Create tools and reports capable of zeroing in on specific business trends or monitoring progress/results on new business decisions. Lead and share learnings with Allocators and incorporate into workflow and best practices

  • Provide inventory analysis and reporting that can be leveraged across team

  • Evaluate Weeks of Supply and partner with buyers to execute End of Life Product strategies

  • Responsible for managing the store capacity sheet for inventory risks and opportunities

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

* 5+ years of merchandise allocation experience

* Strong retail math skills.

* Excellent communication skills-including written, verbal and listening

* Strong analytical skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy
