Job Overview

The Product Manager - Technology Integration, Implementation & Data Analytics is responsible for leading the development, delivery, and lifecycle management of integrated technology solutions across internal teams and external supplier networks. This role drives the strategic vision and execution of Surface Haulage Business Unit (SHBU) products with a focus on implementation, cross-functional coordination, and measurable value creation through data ownership and analytics.

The Product Manager will work closely with Komatsu's Mining Technology Solutions (MTS) and other key industry partners to co-develop new product solutions, align on SHBU requirements, manage system integrations, and build out joint technology roadmaps. A critical part of this role includes understanding and utilization of MTS internal systems and data architectures to enable efficient data retrieval, performance measurement, and seamless product integration.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Define and Drive Product Vision (20%) - Develops and communicates a clear product strategy and roadmap for integrated technology solutions, aligned with SHBU goals, customer needs, and partner capabilities.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership (15%) - Leads collaboration across MTS, Engineering, IT, operations, and external technology partners to ensure aligned execution and timely delivery of integrated product solutions.
  • Technology Implementation (15%) - Oversees end-to-end implementation of products in real-world environments, ensuring operational readiness, scalability, and supportability.
  • Data Ownership & Governance (15%) - Establishes and manages product-related data structures, defines ownership across systems, and ensures compliance with internal and partner data governance policies.
  • Product Analytics & Insights (15%) - Develops the product analytics strategy, defines key performance indicators (KPIs), data visualizations, and uses data insights to guide prioritization and continuous improvement.
  • Supplier and Partner Collaboration (10%) - Coordinates with MTS and industry suppliers to align product development timelines, interface requirements, and roadmap priorities. Actively engages with partner engineering and data teams to integrate systems and access performance data.
  • Customer-Focused Development (10%) - Gathers field feedback, interprets operational data, and partners with end users and internal stakeholders to iterate and enhance product functionality.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Data Science, Marketing, or related field (MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus)
  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience in product management, technical program management, or technology integration. Experience working with external partners or co-development projects is highly valued.
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to customer sites, partner locations (including MTS), and cross-functional team meetings (~10-20%)


Preferred Skills



  • General understanding of IoT systems, connected devices, cloud data ecosystems, and data pipeline architecture (Competency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools a plus)
  • Ability to navigate partner systems and tools to access critical data for analytics and performance validation.
  • Experience with collaborative product development and partner-led innovation.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to lead and manage interdependent initiatives in dynamic, fast-paced environments, through influence and build consensus across internal and external teams.

Hiring Range

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $100,000 - $125,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
