Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inputs employee and payroll data into the HR/Payroll system for adjunct and full-time faculty and processes supplemental salary payments.
  • Responsible for set up and disbursement of all legally required withholdings, including child support, wage garnishments, wage deduction summons, student loans, tax levies and spousal support.
  • Serves as resource for running of bi-weekly and monthly payroll and all jobs and reports essential to an accurate payroll and benefits process.
  • Generates routine reports and designs special reports as requested.
  • Develop, test, and implement new integrations, interfaces, and upgrades of HR systems in conjunction with vendors and IT.
  • Define, evaluate, and configure HR systems/tools together with HR and non-HR groups to ensure efficiency in HR's processes and data integrity across all HR systems.
  • Responsible for production and non-production HRIS support of researching, recommending, and resolving system problems.
  • Responsible for developing and performing ongoing scheduled activities of conducting system and user audits.
  • Performs related duties as assigned

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience

  • BS/BA degree in Business Management, Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 to 3 years of data entry experience into HR/Payroll Systems.

  • Must be able to exercise discretion and judgment with little or no supervision in carrying out daily tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Excellent project management, customer service, and client relationship skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills with attention to details.
  • Must be highly organized to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects and payroll deadlines in a fast paced work environment.
  • Experience with SharePoint O365, HTML and web page design concepts highly desired
