Perfusionist 3

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking a full-time Perfusionist to join the team. We are currently hiring full-time (40 hrs/week). The role will require working varied shifts and schedule + on-call. Perfusionist 3 Job Responsibilities:

• The Perfusionist 3 operates extracorporeal equipment for surgical procedures. Provides cardiopulmonary bypass set-up, disassembly, and maintenance for various surgical procedures (e.g. CABG, valve repair/replacements, VAD insertions, heart and lung transplants, non-complex aortic procedures and minimally invasive procedures).
• Collaborates with internal teams for maintenance on Perfusion equipment while adhering to safety guidelines.
• Participates in routine responsibilities related to daily operations of the Perfusion department while maintaining professional obligations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Perfusionist 3 Requirements:

• Work Schedule: Full-time varied shift and schedules plus on-call requirements
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in a medical/science field or Perfusion technology. Completion of a perfusionist certificate.
• Experience: Five years of relevant clinical experience or documented competency in required clinical skills and administration contribution.

  • Certified Clinical Perfusionist (ABCP) required upon start.
  • Basic Life Support from AHA required upon start.
